Estimates are planning ranges
Our calculators give low, typical and high price ranges built from public cost guides and government data, as described on How we calculate. They are meant to help you plan and to compare quotes. They are not quotes, bids, appraisals or offers, and a real price for your project depends on things a calculator can't see.
Not professional advice
Nothing on the site is engineering, legal, tax, financial or safety advice. Check permits and code requirements with your local building department, and rely on licensed professionals for work on structure, gas, electrical, septic and similar systems.
No guarantee
We work to keep the numbers accurate and current, but we can't promise that every figure is complete, correct or up to date. The site is provided "as is", and to the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for decisions made or costs incurred based on it.
